Illinois Railway (IR) is comprised of four rail segments totaling 113 miles of track located just west of Chicago.  Adjacent to the St. Peter Sandstone Formation where nearly pure quartz sandstone is mined, the IR interchanges with BNSF, UP, CN, CP, CSXT and NS.

With flexible car spot availability and multiple locations throughout the area to transload your products, the Northern Illinois Transload allows our customers the ability to serve the major metropolitan areas of Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Indiana.

Our current material handling capabilities include:   Frac sand, chemicals, metal scrap, agricultural products, and building materials.
